Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy

Crooks & Bandits Comics offers in-stock items, preorder items, and special-order items. By placing an order, the customer agrees to the purchase terms that apply to the item type selected at checkout.

In-Stock Items

In-stock items are items currently available for shipment. Once an in-stock order has been packed, fulfilled, or shipped, the order cannot be canceled.

If a customer requests cancellation before fulfillment, Crooks & Bandits Comics may approve or deny the cancellation at its discretion.

Preorder Items

Preorder items are paid at the time the order is placed. This reserves the customer’s copy before the Final Order Cutoff date, also known as FOC.

Preorder release dates are estimates and may change due to publisher, printer, distributor, or shipping delays. If a preorder item is delayed, the order will ship once the item arrives and is ready to be fulfilled.

Preorders may be canceled before the FOC date if the cancellation request is approved by Crooks & Bandits Comics. After the FOC date has passed, preorder cancellations may not be accepted because quantities are ordered based on customer demand.

If Crooks & Bandits Comics is unable to fulfill a preorder due to publisher cancellation, distributor allocation, damage, or unavailability, the customer will be notified and refunded for the unavailable item.

Special-Order Items

Special-order items are ordered specifically for the customer and may not be part of regular store inventory.

Special-order cancellations may not be accepted once the item has been ordered from the distributor or supplier. If the item becomes unavailable, the customer will be notified and refunded for the unavailable item.

Quantity Limits

Crooks & Bandits Comics may limit purchases to 1 copy per title per transaction.

Customers may purchase multiple different titles in the same order, but only one copy of each title may be purchased per transaction unless otherwise approved.

Crooks & Bandits Comics reserves the right to cancel, refund, or adjust any order that exceeds posted quantity limits or appears to bypass these limits through multiple transactions, duplicate accounts, or other methods.

Mixed Orders

Orders containing both in-stock and preorder/special-order items may be held until all items are available to ship. To receive in-stock items sooner, customers should place separate orders.

Shipping Adjustments

Large or heavy orders may require multiple boxes to ship safely. If additional shipping is required beyond the amount paid at checkout, Crooks & Bandits Comics may invoice the customer for the extra shipping cost before the order ships.

Delays, Availability, and Refunds

Crooks & Bandits Comics will make reasonable efforts to fulfill orders within the stated or expected timeframe. However, release dates, availability, and shipping timelines may change.

If an order cannot be shipped within the promised timeframe, or if no timeframe was stated and the order cannot be shipped within the applicable required period, the customer may be notified and offered the option to agree to the delay or cancel the unshipped portion of the order for a refund, where required by law. The FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule generally requires sellers to have a reasonable basis for stated shipping times and to obtain customer consent to delays or provide refunds when required.
